Hygiene and safety rules in the Central Library

We ask for your understanding that we cannot grant access to the building in the event of non-compliance or reserve the right to issue a building reprimand.

General Cleaning

Prior to the library opening from 5 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., all tables and chairs in the open stacks area and restrooms will be cleaned and disinfected. Spray bottles of soapy water and wipes are available for cleaning surfaces of individual workstations in use. A note is affixed to each table stating, "Please clean the table surface after using your individual workstation and leave it as you found it."

Ventilate

The Central Library has an automatic room air handling system (RLTA).
The Building Management division in the Technical Operations and Service department is responsible for regularly checking that it is operating without errors or interruptions.
The interaction of on-site observations (represented by the janitor) with the "Technical Operations and Service Unit" ensures that failures of the ventilation system are noticed very quickly and that appropriate measures can be taken for user operation.
If areas are no longer supplied with sufficient air exchange (fresh air and exhaust air) by a functioning RLTA, they must leave the affected workstation areas.
