Kiel UB has been maintaining and expanding a unique collection focus on literature from and about Scandinavia for over 100 years. Whether as a focal library, as a DFG-funded special collection area, or as a specialized information service for Northern Europe - the intention of the collection activity to provide comprehensively relevant resources from Scandinavia has remained unchanged to this day. Today, however, the methods of finding literature and specialized information and "bringing them to the people" have become completely different. At this point, FID Nordeuropa has for years been entering the digital world in ever new ways, using social media to gather information - but more recently also to share and network information in a bundled way. In this Coffee Lecture we present our activities between Nordeuropablog and social networks - and look forward to questions and suggestions!
