Consultation Services
In our consultations, we are focussed on your individual questions about literature research, academic writing and publishing. Our personal counseling service is aimed at students, doctoral candidates, scientists and anyone who is interested in general.
The librarians from the Information Team will be happy to advise you on your library enquiries. We support you in finding and obtaining literature and answer questions about the library and what it has to offer. We currently offer you open consultation hours in the consultation room of the University Library, bookable consultation appointments, telephone support and answer your inquiries by email. In addition to in-person consultations, we also offer library tours in the form of a library rally via Actionbound for on-site orientation.

Specialist Advice
If you have subject-specific questions about your research, our subject specialists are at your disposal.
Writing Advice
Many challenges and difficulties in writing can be dealt with in individual consultations. In an open office hour you can discuss your questions and problems with us and receive assistance.
We support you in the planning, structuring or wording of your texts. It doesn't matter whether you need help getting started with the first attempts or advice for the final touches of a work, a writing consultation can be taken advantage of at any time. What the writing consultancy cannot do, however, are the correction and editing of texts as well as content and technical support.
Details can be found here.
Library Tours
In our 60-minute guided tours, we help you find your way around the Central Library so that you can use it as your personal place of learning and working, and familiarize you with our services. For this, we use the app Actionbound as an interactive library introduction. Explore your future learning and working place with other participants by means of small tasks and quizzes.
Please bring a smartphone with you for the Scavenger Hunt. You can install the Actionbound app here in advance. The Scavenger Hunt is available in English and German.
After the tour, you will receive a certificate of attendance for the library introduction.
